FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Emily
Tubert signed a National Letter of Intent joining the University of Arkansas
women's golf team head coach Shauna Estes-Taylor announced today.
Tubert joins the Razorbacks from
Burbank, Calif., where she is a three-year team captain at John Burroughs
High. While competing for her high
school, Tubert earned four MVP honors, is a two-time Pacific League Champion,
earned All-Area Player of the Year in 2008, was an All-Area First-Team in 2007,

"I was fortunate to watch Emily play
last Thanksgiving down in Florida," Estes-Taylor said. "When I saw her
hit one ball, I knew I had found someone special. She was one of the
top prospects in the 2010 class and I could tell right away she was a perfect
fit for our team. She is impressive to watch and has all of the tools to
be one of the best collegiate players during her tenure. She has
tremendous length, a good work ethic, and is a very smart young lady. She
is a complete student-athlete that will provide great leadership and impact our
program both in the classroom and on the golf course."
In addition to high school golf,
Tubert played on the Junior Amateur Golf Scholars tour and was selected captain
this year. Tubert is a four-year tour
member earning Rookie of the Year and Western All-Star team honors in
2008. She followed up with the Founders
Award and Western All-Star Team honors in 2009.
Turbert's career included 11 top 10
finishes in AJGA tournaments over the last three seasons. She is a two-time Junior All-American (AJGA
HP Scholastic in 2009 and AJGA Rolex in 2008).
Turbert added the CIF SS 2009 crown to her resume winning the event the
day after she signed.

AJGA Youth Leadership Club, Girls Scouts of America and Habitat for
Humanity. She is a participant in the
California Scholarship Federation tutoring middle school math students and she
has worked on the Burbank City Rose Float.
