Hudson Named SEC Player of the Week
Three days after earning the biggest win of her career, senior co-captain Shannon Hudson was named SEC Player of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday. It marked her second career weekly honor and first since being named SEC Freshman of the Week in 2014.

Hudson posted the first top-10 win of her career when she rallied from a set and 3-0 down to beat Oklahoma’s 10th-ranked Lily Miyazaki 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (1) at the No. 1 position. She also teamed in doubles with junior Léolia Jeanjean to defeat the Sooners’ 49th-ranked duo of Miyazaki and Julie Byrne 6-3 at the top spot.

Ranked Razorbacks
Hudson and sophomore Ana Oparenovic each earned spots in the latest Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division I Women’s National Singles Rankings, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Wednesday.

Hudson surged 51 spots to a career-best No. 47, while Oparenovic entered the rankings for the first time this spring, coming in at tied for No. 103.

Hudson owns a 9-3 overall singles record with a 4-1 mark in dual match play this season. After earning a 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles against the Sooners, Oparenovic is 7-4 overall and 1-1 in dual matches.

Singles Streak
Freshman standout Natsuho Arakawa enters Saturday’s match with a streak of 11 straight singles victories dating back to the fall. Arakawa is 14-3 overall with a 6-0 mark in dual match action.
