He rushed for 1,934 yards and 31 touchdowns in the regular season during his senior season leading his squad to a District 6A-4 crown. He also scored twice on punt returns and once on a reception for Coach Antwain Jimmerson. He rushed for 265 yards and four touchdowns as a senior against Jenks High School. He holds the Booker T. Washington High School record with more than 5,000 yards rushing. He was the Tulsa World Metro Player of the Year in his senior season. He took over as the starting tailback after former Booker T. Washington and current Razorback tailback Felix Jones graduated and headed to Arkansas. The Tulsa World ranked Harris and Jones as the second and third-greatest running backs in the school’s history. Rivals.com ranked him as the No. 42 running back in the nation. The outlet also ranked him as the No. 9 prospect in Oklahoma. Scout.com rated him as the No. 14 overall prospect in Oklahoma. He chose Arkansas over Texas Tech. He is the son of Michael and Melissa Harris.
