4×800-meter relay finishes third at Texas Rela

AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Arkansas men’s 4×800-meter relay team got the Hog squad off to a good start with a third-place finish in 7:29.26 at the 74th-annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.
In the only action of the day for the Razorbacks, they grabbed a third-place finish behind Baylor and SMU who finished in 7:25.40 and 7:25.43, respectively.
Chad Grundy ran the opening leg for the Razorbacks handing off to Chris Mulvaney who continued to gain ground on the leaders. Andy Beasley ran the third leg and handed-off to Frans Schimper who overtook Kentucky in the final 100-meters to move the Razorbacks into third place.
The rest of the Razorback squad will compete in the final two-days of the meet.
