“Our theme since the first day of competition was to scrap for every point we could get,” head coach Lance Harter said. “Today was a continuation of that same formula. Our kids did a great job of battling back. There were times when we were fifth or sixth in the team race. It came down to the 5,000 meters and the mile relay for us. Those kids did a great job of stepping up.”

For the last 600, I tried to make my big move and tried to break all the other runners off. It started going my way but then they caught back up. I’m happy with the finish.”
