Razorbacks Complete Day One At South Carolina Fall Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Flavia Araujo and Mia Jurasic led the way for Arkansas women’s tennis on day one of the South Carolina Fall Invitational.

Due to inclement weather, play was moved indoors to the USC Field House.

In singles action versus South Carolina, Jurasic notched a 6-4, 6-3 win over Ellie Zogg while Araujo downed Hannah Templeton, 6-2, 6-3.

Araujo and Jurassic also teamed up in doubles play to take down Oklahoma’s Emma Devine and Simran Sethi, 6-3.

“Today was a step in the right direction for our players,” assistant coach Luc Godin said. “We look forward to more great opportunities for growth as the tournament unfolds.”

The Razorbacks return to action tomorrow for day two in Columbia while Yuliya Lysa and Shannon Hudson head out west to the Riviera ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, California.

Hudson is first to take court as she faces Duke’s Jessica Ho in the first round of the pre-qualifying draw.
