Named to Arkansas Invitational All-Tournament Team...averaged 2.78 kills per set with a .273 hitting percerntage at season-opening event...had 11 kills against McNeese State...tallied 10 kills at No. 18 Oklahoma...in final match of the West Point Challenge, had nine kills and season-high six total blocks against NJIT...had three service aces against Georgetown at Deacon Invitational...in SEC debut, registered a season-best 12 kills and added three total blocks in victory at Alabama...had eight kills in weekend finale at Ole Miss...posted a .438 hitting percentage with nine kills and got in on four total blocks in sweep of Mississippi State...matched season high with six total blocks in four-set contest with Kentucky...turned in second double-digit kill effort of the SEC season with 10 kills against Auburn...notched a .368 (10-3-19) hitting percentage against the Tigers...had eight kills and four total blocks in sweep of Ole Miss...registered final two kills for Arkansas in straight-set win over Alabama...registered six kills, four total blocks and three digs in sweep of LSU...had seven kills, four digs, four total blocks and two service aces in straight-set win at Mississippi State...followed with nine kills and six digs against Georgia...had five kills on a .417 hitting percentage and five total blocks in straight-set win at Auburn...posted consecutive eight-kill performances in home matches against South Carolina and No. 19 Florida...added four digs and four total blocks against the Gators...in five setter at No. 16 Kentucky, was just one off season high with 11 kills to go along with four total blocks...totaled six kills and three total blocks in season finale at LSU...started every match as the team’s right side...one of three players to play in each of the team’s 112 sets during the year.

Prior to Arkansas
Acosta spent the first two seasons of her collegiate career at Cowley College in Arkansas City, Kan., where she was named the 2010 AVCA Two-Year National Player of the Year after an outstanding sophomore season. She was twice named a First-Team All-American, recognized by both the AVCA and NJCAA, while leading the Tigers to second- and third-place national finishes. Acosta was also a two-time Jayhawk East Conference Most Valuable Player for Cowley. She brings a wealth of international experience to Fayetteville as a member of the Venezuelan National Team. In 2008, Acosta represented her home country at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and had the distinction of being the youngest volleyball participant. She has also served as a leader for her team when she was selected as the captain for the Venezuelan Junior National Team.
