Prior to Arkansas
Lewis was a two-year letterwinner at Lee College. Last season, she was 15th in the NJCAA with 0.57 service aces per set and 17th in the nation with 4.94 digs per set. In 2010, she totaled 319 digs and was fifth in the NJCAA Division I rankings with 0.65 service aces per set. During her prep career at James Bowie High School in Austin, she was named to the 5A All-State Team in 2009 and completed her senior season with the second-most digs in the Central Texas area. Lewis also earned team Most Valuable and Best Defensively Player honors. She played club ball with Austin Juniors Volleyball.
