HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Monroe, an accomplished freestyle swimmer, is a four-time Telegraph Swimmer of the Year hailing from Godfrey, Ill. Monroe was a two-time sectional champion during her senior year at Alton high school. Throughout high school she was a sectional champion nine times. She also qualified for the YMCA National Championships four times.

PERSONAL: Madeline Jane Monroe was born on February 16, 1994 to Timothy and Sandra Monroe in Alton, Illinois. Monroe has a sister, Grace, and a brother, Matt. She is a mechanical engineering major with hopes to pursue a career in the engineering field one day.
