TULSA, Okla. - The Razorbacks completed play at the ITA Central Regional on Sunday as freshman Yang Pang concluded her strong weekend of play. Pang battled in her quarterfinal match against Missouri's Cierra Gaytan-Leach, falling in three sets.
Pang and Gaytan-Leach battled in a back and forth affair that lasted over three hours. Both players reached match point at various stages of the match.
"Congratulations to both players on a thrilling match today," head coach Michael Hegarty said. "Both Missouri and Arkansas have to feel good about their No. 1 players after this high quality matchup. We certainly took some steps forward this weekend, and we look forward to continuing to build this young team."
The Razorbacks are back in action on Nov. 2, as they will head to Texas for the Houston Cougar Invite.
