ABOUT ARKANSAS
The University of Arkansas returned home for the start of a three game stretch at Bud Walton Arena. The Razorbacks opened the week with a Thursday win, 72-50, over Texas Southern, a game in which four players scored in double figures. Three players, Keira Peak, Kelsey Hatcher and Sarah Watkins had 12 each for the Razorbacks while Dominique Wilson added 11 in the win. Arkansas hosts Peppedine Sunday and Kansas Thursday as the home stand continues.

KEIRA PEAK NAMED SEC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
• Peak’s 12 points at Oral Roberts was her second consecutive game with double digit points.
• Against No. 13 Oklahoma, Peak had career‐best points (30), FGM (12), FGA (19), 3PT (4) 3PTA (8) and one shy of career-best steals (3).
• Her 30 points was the first time since 2006 that a Razorback scored 30+ points.
• Had fourth consecutive game in double digits at Hawai’i with a win over the host team in non‐conference tournament play.
• Peak made six threes all of last year and has 12 this year.
• The 24 points against Oregon was her fifth consecutive game in double figures.
• Peak scored 82 points in four games this week with one double-double, one game of 30 points and led Arkansas to a 3‐1 week.
• She was named MVP of the Waikiki Beach Marriott Rainbow Wahine Showdown.
• She averaged 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.8 steals on the week.

ABOUT SARAH WATKINS
Sarah Watkins slipped over the 1,000 point career scoring plateau with a 25-point effort in a win at Hawai’i in Honolulu. Watkins, a Germantown, Tenn., native, begin the 2012-13 season with 962 points. She scored 54 points in the first five games moving to 1,018 in 102 career games. She enters the Peppderdine game with 1044 points in 104 games. Watkins became the 27th player in program history to score at least 1,000 career points for the Razorbacks. As a freshman, Watkins scored 176 points. She upped that to 458 points as a sophomore and had 330 last year as a junior.

In addition to scoring, Watkins is a solid rebounder. She has 478 career boards and would be the 26th player to go over the 500 career rebounding mark. Should Watkins reach both milestones, she will be the 17th player in program history to go over 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds.

WATKINS CAN BLOCK SHOTS
Watkins is also pretty good at blocking shots. She currently ranks second in program history with 16.5 career blocks. Delmonica DeHorney (87-91) holds the school record with 235 career blocked shots.

ABOUT JHASMIN BOWEN
Sophomore Jhasmin Bowen is ignoring the sophomore slump and is out to a great start in her second season. Bowen has three games with double figure scoring including two double-doubles this year. Bowen posted a career-best 14 points in the opener against Jackson State and matched that with 14 again Oregon in Hawai’i. Bowen has recorded 10 rebounds twice and has started the last three games this year.

TO START OR NOT TO START
Senior Sarah Watkins has been the starter at the post for much of her career at Arkansas. This season, however, Watkins has found herself with limited minutes due to foul trouble. She has fouled out twice and had two other games with four fouls this year. As a result, Collen did not start Watkins against Hawai’i or Oregon and the senior answered with a career-best tying 25 points against the Rainbow Wahine, 14 in the win over Oregon and 12 in the win over TSU.
