FAYETTEVILLE - The No. 55 University of Arkansas men's tennis team travels to Charlottesville, Va., this weekend to play in the 2013 ITA Kickoff.
The fifth annual ITA Kickoff consists of the top collegiate tennis programs in the country which are divided up into 15 different locations with four teams at each location. Arkansas accompanies No. 62 Georgia State and No. 63 North Florida at No. 1 Virginia for a weekend of competitive tennis.
"We are really excited to go to Charlottesville and play some great competition," head coach Robert Cox said. "This will show us where we stack up with the rest of the country."
The Razorbacks are the No. 2 seed in the Charlottesville bracket and will begin play with No. 62 Georgia State on Friday at 1 p.m. The winner will then play the winner of the No. 1 Virginia and No. 63 North Florida match on Saturday.
The Razorbacks, 2-0 this season, are coming off two shutouts in their opening weekend of play, taking down both Nebraska-Omaha and South Dakota State 7-0.
