Beyond the Box:  Kentucky 80 - Arkansas 74 (Overtime)

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Dominique Wilson had a career night for the Razorbacks, shooting 6-14 from the field for a career high 17 points. She scored the most points by a Razorback freshman since Sarah Watkins scored twenty points versus Alcorn State on November 15, 2009 in Hot Springs. Wilson scored 10 in the first half, her second highest single half total of her career, and did an excellent job as a secondary ballhandler for the Razorbacks against the Kentucky press.

PLAY OF THE GAME: With 8:11 left in the game, Arkansas was holding on to a 53-48 lead. Sarah Watkins pulled up from the top of the key, and drained her first three pointer of the season. The make snapped a 0-14 start to the year from long distance for Watkins, who added her second three pointer of the season late in overtime.  

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME: The Razorbacks and Wildcats battled back and forth in the second half. Dominique Wilson drove hard to the hoop to give Arkansas a 49-46 lead, and a long two from Watkins pushed the lead to 53-48 at the under-12 media timeout.  Watkins hit two big free throws, than blocked a shot to force a shot clock violation, and Arkansas took a 60-57 lead into the final media timeout. The Razorbacks had the final possession in regulation with the game tied, but couldn't get off a great shot at the buzzer.

UNSUNG HERO OF THE GAME: Sarah Watkins had 11 points in the first half, reaching double figures before halftime for the fourth time this season, all in Razorback wins (Oregon, Kansas, and Ole Miss). She finished with 25 points, shooting 9-15 from the field and hitting her first two threes of the season.

STAT OF THE GAME: Against a very tough Wildcats defense, the Razorbacks shot the ball well all game. They finished 27-64 from the field, and hit six three pointers the game after snapping a streak of 246 games with a made three pointer. Arkansas finished with 74 points, the second highest total allowed by the Wildcats in SEC play.
