Beyond the Box: Arkansas at Georgia
PLAYER OF THE GAME: Erin Gatling came off the bench for Arkansas, but she was their best player in the first half. Gatling kept the Razorbacks in the game with two crucial threes and had eight first half points.
TURNING POINT OF THE GAME: Arkansas had a slow start to the game, and trailed the Lady Bulldogs 20-6 with 7:58 left in the first half. Erin Gatling came off the bench and stepped up, stroking three pointers on consecutive UA possessions and cutting into the Georgia lead.
STATS OF THE GAME: The first half was controlled by Georgia, who shot the ball well (13-29) and held Arkansas to a poor performance from the field (7-22). The Razorbacks turned the ball over 14 times in the first half, the second most turnovers in any half this year, and Georgia took a 14 point lead into the locker room.
NOTE OF THE GAME: With the loss, Arkansas is 17-9. Of their nine losses, six have come to ranked teams, and five have come outside of Bud Walton Arena. Georgia is the first team to beat Arkansas twice this season. The Razorbacks will face their 8th top-15 opponent on Sunday as No. 11 Tennessee comes to Fayetteville.
