FRESHMAN (2012-13): Shelby Bartlett competed in all three diving events during her first season with the Razorbacks, playing an instrumental role in several dual meets. Bartlett improved her performance throughout the year, recording new personal-best scores three times on the 1-meter board and twice on the 3-meter board. In her first collegiate competition at the Razorbacks Relays she scored a 249.65 on 1-meter and a 269.45 on 3-meter. She would go on to set two new personal bests in the Razorbacks’ dual meet against Georgia with a 273.60 on the 3-meter and a 258.83 on the 1-meter. In the Razorbacks’ final home dual meet of the season, Bartlett put together her best combined performance placing third on both boards and earning new personal-best scores on the 1-meter, 263.80, and 3-meter, 293.35. Bartlett’s two third-place finishes helped the Razorbacks edge the Nittany Lions 151.5-146.5. On the platform Bartlett scored 181.35 at the Houston Cougar Invite and improved that score to 191.30 at the SEC Championships. 

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Bartlett graduated from Fishers High School in 2012. Bartlett was an All-American her junior year and was also named all-county. She qualified for the Junior National Championships and was an AAU National finalist her junior year. Bartlett was named all-county, all-sectional and all-state her senior year. She was the state champion on the 1-meter board and went undefeated during the season.  As a result, she was named the Swimmer/Diver of the Year. During club season she placed 11th on 3-meter board and 13th on 1-meter board at the 2012 East Junior National Championship.

PERSONAL: Bartlett was born on May 9, 1993 in Indianapolis, Ind. to Randall and Debra Bartlett. She has one brother named Zachary. She plans to major in kinesiology in pursuit of a career as an athletic trainer or a diving coach.
