JUNIOR (2012-13): Kucherich proved her versatility by competing in nine different events throughout the year for the Razorbacks, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and individual medley races. The junior’s 400-yard individual medley third-place finish helped the Razorbacks upend No. 12 Penn State. At the Houston Cougar Invite, she notched a pair of personal-best times with a 1:51.86 in the 200 freestyle and a 57.53 in the 100 backstroke. Kucherich’s performance at SEC Championships included a pair of season-best times in 200 backstroke and 400 individual medley. Kucherich finished the 200 backstroke in 2:00.17 and finished the 400 individual medley in 4:17.39, placing 18th in the finals and contributing seven points to the Razorbacks’ sixth-place SEC finish. 

SOPHOMORE (2011-12): Kucherich continued to build off a successful freshman year by competing in nine events, including all four strokes, and earning 15 top-five finishes. She was second in the 200 butterfly and third in the 200 individual medley to start the season against Auburn, posting respective times of 2:06.39 and 2:05.17. The following meet, Kucherich was second in the 400 IM against Florida with a time of 4:22.07, second in the 200 backstroke in a season-best 2:01.78, and third in the 1,000 freestyle against the Gators in 10:03.12, also a season best. Kucherich swam her fastest 1,650 freestyle of the year at the SEC Championships, clocking 16:31.56 to place 10th and score for Arkansas. Her best 400 IM also came at the SEC meet, where she finished in 4:15.36, an NCAA ‘B’ cut time, to place 14th and score again. Kucherich had her best finish in the 200 IM at the Tennessee Invitational, finishing in 2:02.51 to place sixth. Kucherich earned qualification for the U.S. Olympic Trials in both the 200 backstroke and the 400 IM.

FRESHMAN (2010-11): Kucherich began her freshman season by making her mark with five victories and 14 top-three places. The freshman earned an NCAA ‘B’ cut time on four occasions in the 400 individual medley, with her best time of the season coming at the SEC Championships with a season-best time of 4:14.25. She earned her first ‘B’ cut time at the Purdue Invitational when she placed second in both the prelims and the finals. Her efforts at the Purdue Invitational helped Arkansas to win the meet by more than 100 points. The 200 backstroke proved to be Kucherich's top event as she finished first three times throughout the season. She won her first event as a Razorback at the double-dual meet against North Texas and Tulane with a time of 2:03.30. In the 200 IM, Kucherich had her best finish of the season at the Purdue Invitational, as well and finished third in the prelims with a time of 2:02.47. She competed in the 1,000 freestyle at four different meets and earned her best finish at the Houston dual when she took third. She won the 200 butterfly at the dual at Vanderbilt in her only swim in the event during the season.

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Kucherich was one of the top 400 individual medley swimmers in the country. She was a U.S. National Junior Team member in the 400-meter IM and a 2008 Olympic Trials Qualifier in both the 200 backstroke and 400 IM.

PERSONAL: Kucherich was born Dec. 18, 1991, in Hershey, Penn., to Gerry and Karen Kucherich. She has an older brother and an older sister, Robert and Laura. At York Suburban High School, she was involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and Habitat for Humanity. Kucherich was a member of the National Honors Society and was a Scholastic All-American. Kucherich is majoring in kinesiology and dietetics at Arkansas and plans to become a physician assistant following graduation.
