FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -Devonta Abron, one of the University of Arkansas men's basketball team's signees, was named the most outstanding player in the North-South All-Star game hosted by the Texas High School Coaches Association late Monday.  Abron posted a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds in the contest in leading his North squad to a 103-94 victory.

Starting slow for his North All-Stars, Abron had just five points and five rebounds as the teams headed to the break, but the 6-8 forward from Seagoville, Texas, exploded in the second half with thundering dunks as he tallied 22 points and five rebounds over the final half.  Abron's monster second half kept the South at bay as he twice quieted South runs, once with a string of three straight dunks and the second time with a dunk and three-point basket on consecutive trips down the floor.

Abron is the second Razorback signee to be named the most outstanding player in his state's high school all-star contest.  Rashad "Ky" Madden was named the most outstanding player for the east squad in the Arkansas high school all-star contest in late June.
