2009 (Freshman)
Named to the NCAA All-Norman Regional Team ... Earned the win in Arkansas' Regional clinching game by tossing 8.1 innings of no-hit baseball, striking out a career-best 12 hitters ... Allowed just one hit in the career-long start ... Made one start in the College World Series against Virginia ... Allowed eight hits but allowed just two runs to cross the plate in 4.2 innings of work ... Struck out seven Cavalier batters before being relieved in the fifth ... Began the season as one of Arkansas' weekend starters based on injury and illness ... Was used as both a starter and reliever by midseason ... Was brilliant in his first five outings, going 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA ... Picked up wins against Valparaiso and No. 18 Florida ... Pitched six innings against No. 18 Florida and surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits ... Struggled at midseason before returning to form against Oral Roberts on May 12 where he tossed a then-career best six innings and allowed no earned runs on three hits and struck out a career best six batters ... Summer Baseball
Spent the 2009 summer season with the Duluth Huskies in the Northwoods League ... Despite his 0-3 record, posted a 3.32 ERA with 44 strikeouts and just 10 walks in 40.2 innings pitched ... Made seven appearances-all starts-for the Huskies ... Opponents hit just .247 against the lefty.
