The only other time was 2007 when the Hogs put 40 or more points on the board seven times. Arkansas’ defense held Troy without any points in the first quarter. It is the sixth time this season that the Razorbacks have not surrendered a point in the opening 15 minutes. (Missouri St., Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Eastern Michigan, Troy) Jarius Wright led the Razorback receivers for the second time this season. He had five receptions for 67 yards. He is one of four Razorbacks to lead Arkansas in receiving this season (Jarius Wright 6‐139 vs. Missouri St., 5‐67 vs. Troy; Greg Childs 5‐140 vs. Georgia, 5‐85 vs. Auburn, 4‐135 vs. Florida, 3‐83 vs. Ole Miss; Joe Adams 6‐81 vs. Alabama, 3‐110 vs. Texas A&M, Eastern Michigan, 3‐109; D.J. His 83‐yard touchdown pass to Ronnie Wingo Jr., is the longest pass of his Arkansas career. The 83‐yard touchdown pass also matched Mallett’s school record for touchdown passes in a game. Arkansas threw for more touchdown passes than Mallett has this year in just three seasons during that time (2007‐24, 1998‐26). He is three touchdown passes shy of tying Arkansas’ all‐time record for passing touchdowns in a season by a team or individual and four shy of breaking Clint Stoerner’s school record for passing touchdowns in a season. Mallett has passed for at least one touchdown in nine of 10 games as a Razorback and in 11 of his 13 career starts. Ryan Mallett’s 12th pass attempt, a 17‐yard completion to Carlton Salters, set the Arkansas record for consecutive pass attempts without throwing an interception. Mallett passed former Razorback Clint Stoerner’s record of 134 attempts which came during the 1997 and 1998 seasons. His interception near the end of the second quarter ended a streak of 141 attempts without a pick. D.J. Williams had four catches for 62 yards and a touchdown. Over the last two games he has 11 catches for 199 yards and two touchdowns. Joe Adams caught his fifth touchdown pass of the season in the first quarter.
