AS A FRESHMAN (2010-11)
Chrisstasia Walter's athleticism made a lot of plays on teh floor for Arkansas in 2010-11.  In her first season of college ball, Walters played in 26 games getting five starts, most in the postseason.  Walter averaged 3.8 ppg and 2.3 rpg with 16 assists, 26 steals and two blocks.  A scrappy, defensive-minded player, Walter was good at disrupting opponent offenses.  She had a career night in Arkansas' WNIT Touranment run scoring 26 points on 9-for-18 shooting at Oral Roberts.  She also grabbed five boards in that contest.

AT ARKANSAS HS
Walter checks in from Arkansas High School in Texarkana, Ark., where she played for coach Venture Watson.  Walter was a three-time all-conference selection and a two-time all-state pick for the Razorbacks.  She earned multiple all-tournament team honors and was named the offensive player of the year for the state of Arkansas as a junior.    Walter paced her high school team's return to the state tournament in 2008 after a 25-year drought.  The 5-8 guard led the Razorbacks to a 20-2 record with 20.0 points-per-game and 12.0 rebounds-per-game as a junior.

Walter played on several AAU teams including Arkansas Mavericks and New Life in Little Rock, Ark.  The Arkansas Mavs reached the BC1 Nationals and New Life finished as runners up at the Atlanta, Ga., tournament.  They finished the year as the top-ranked team in the state.

In addition to basketball, Walter is a four-year letterwinner in volleyball and track and field.  She earned all-conference and all-state honors in volleyball and was selected to the all-star game as a senior.  Her junior track team won three consecutive state titles.
