All-time SEC indoor event champions

FAYETTEVILLE - Heading into the 2012 Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships this weekend, the University of Arkansas men's track and field program has collected 90 SEC indoor event titles. The Razorbacks have had a least one SEC indoor event champion since joining the league in 1991-92, including a program-best eight indoor event titles in 1994 and 1995.

Arkansas has won an SEC indoor event title in 13 of the 16 events contested at the conference meet. The Razorbacks hold four SEC Indoor Championship records: 200 meters (Wallace Spearmon, Jr., 20.35 - 2005), 3,000 meters (Dorian Ulrey, 7:55.56 - 2009), 5,000 meters (Alistair Cragg, 13:42.95 - 2004) and high jump (Ray Doakes, 7-7.25 - 1994).

Eight members of this year's team have won an SEC title during their respective careers. That list includes Tarik Batchelor (long jump - 2011), Neil Braddy (4x400m - 2011), Drew Butler (DMR - 2010), Michael Chinchar (DMR - 2009, 2010), Marek Niit (4x400m - 2011), Andrew Pennington (DMR - 2010), Duncan Phillips (DMR - 2009) and Ben Skidmore (4x400m - 2011).

The 2012 SEC Indoor Championships, hosted by the University of Kentucky, will be contested Feb. 24-26 at the Nutter Field House in Lexington. The meet will air as part of a 90-minute show on ESPNU on Sunday, March 11 from 4-5:30 p.m. (CT). ESPN3 will stream the conference meet during the following times: Saturday, Feb. 25 - 1:05-6:30 p.m.; Sunday, Feb. 26 - 12:25-4 p.m.
