FAYETTEVILLE – The 2013 Southeastern Conference women’s tennis schedule was released Thursday by the league office. The University of Arkansas women’s tennis team will play 13 conference matches-seven home and six away-and begin its SEC schedule March 1 at home against Kentucky. Senior Day will take place on April 12 against LSU.

Arkansas’ conference schedule features matches against all SEC institutions that support a women’s tennis program, including newest SEC members, Texas A&M and Missouri. The Hogs’ match against the Tigers will take place in Fayetteville on March 15, 2013 and then be followed by the Aggies on March 17 at the Billingsley Tennis Center.

After its conference opener against Kentucky, the team will then finish the weekend with Vanderbilt, also at home on March 3. Then, the road opener at Alabama on March 8 will be followed by a match with Auburn on March 10 in Auburn, Ala.

The weekend after their matches with Texas A&M and Missouri, the Razorbacks will be back on the road again to face Mississippi State and Ole Miss on March 22 and March 24. They will return home again for South Carolina and Florida on March 29 and March 31. The road schedule will finish against Tennessee and Georgia on April 5 and April 7, respectively.

Arkansas will close the conference schedule with Senior Day at the Billingsley Tennis Center, where it will face LSU on April 12. 11 of the Razorbacks 13 conference opponents for 2013 along with Arkansas are currently ranked in the Top-75 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association with seven in the Top-25. The non-conference schedule and start times for all matches will be determined at a later date.

The 2012 edition of the Razorback women’s tennis program is currently in the middle of its conference season and will be hosting Oral Roberts at 9 a.m. on Friday, which will then be followed by a match with the Georgia Bulldogs at 1 p.m. It will then travel to face the Tennessee Volunteers on Sunday at noon.
