MOBILE, Ala. -- Former Razorback Stacy Lewis fired a final round 69 winning the 2012 Mobile Bay LPGA Classic Sunday.
Lewis, a four-time all-Southeastern Conference and All-American for the Razorbacks, picked up her second win after leading by two strokes heading into the final round.
Lewis carded a five-under 67 Saturday, recording back-to-back 67s at Crossing Course at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail's Magnolia Grove.
Lewis (2004-08) hit a key pitch shot on 16 in the final round giving her the lead for good. Lewis' second shot on 15 was not what she wanted but she pitched the ball within a foot of the pin for a birdie putt and a one-shot lead.
Lewis began the par four 18th with a solid shot off the tee box and put her second shot about 30 feet from the flag on the large green. Her third shot had to travel uphill then downhill and Lewis hit it perfectly leaving her a par putt within one foot. It is her fourth top five finish this year.
