FAYETTEVILLE - Five Arkansas football student-athletes were among those recognized in the 66th Annual Birmingham News SEC Football Preview.
Quarterback Tyler Wilson, who concluded last season by becoming the first quarterback in school history to be named a first-team All-SEC performer, was selected to the Preseason All-SEC First Team. Wilson also was voted as the SEC's Most Valuable Player and best quarterback in addition to being ranked as the conference's second-best Heisman Trophy candidate and second-best leader.
Running back Knile Davis, wide receiver Cobi Hamilton, tight end Chris Gragg and offensive guard Alvin Bailey were named to the Preseason All-SEC Second Team. Gragg also was ranked as the second-best tight end in the conference.
The Razorbacks were ranked third in the SEC Western Division in a poll conducted each year with a vote of the conference's sports information directors.
