FAYETTEVILLE – Former Arkansas third baseman Matt Reynolds has continued to receive recognition for his stellar junior season as he was named a third team All-American by Perfect Game and second team All-South Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association.

Along with his All-America honors from Perfect Game, Reynolds was also named a third team All-American by Collegiate Baseball earlier in the postseason.

A native of Tulsa, Okla., Reynolds was the top offensive performer for the Razorbacks throughout the 2012 season. Reynolds, who recently signed a professional contract with the New York Mets, led Arkansas in all three Triple Crown categories, finishing his junior season with a .323 batting average, seven homers and 45 RBI. A Collegiate Baseball third team All-American, Reynolds also led the team in runs scored (48), doubles (20), total bases (117), slugging percentage (.498), walks (40), on-base percentage (.427) and stolen bases. Reynolds, who was named first-team All-SEC at third base, finished tied for the team lead with 20 multi-hit games and had a team-best 13 multi-RBI performances. Named to the SEC All-Defensive Team for his work at the hot corner, Reynolds had a .950 fielding percentage, committing just 10 errors.
