University of Arkansas head men's basketball coach Mike Anderson met with the media on Tuesday to discuss the Razorbacks trip to Italy, where Arkansas went 4-0 in exhibition play.

Anderson discussed the overall experience of the trip and how beneficial it was for the young team to bond and take in a new cultural experience.

“It was a great experience for our team and a great bonding time.” Anderson said. “Going over we knew we would have a chance to see Italy and all the historical places, the statues, the churches, and our guys were not disappointed. I thought it was a great cultural experience for our guys.”

Anderson also explained that the trip was important for the coaches to see how some of the newer faces will fit in on the court. He said he feels Arkansas has a lot of options and they are just working on making all the pieces fit.

“We got a chance to see the options I talked about,” Anderson said. “We brought in some more players and I wanted to see what these guys would bring to the table from an IQ standpoint. We saw some guys, and they had some good plays.”
