FAYETTEVILLE - Arkansas' gymnastics team, which is coming off a national sixth-place finish in 2012, started workouts earlier this fall and held its first intrasquad meet of the year on Sept. 24.
Video highlights of the workout are below. The video was shot and prepared by Natalie Bohonsky.
Highlights include footage of seniors Amy Borsellino, Kelci Lewis and Jordan Salsberg, juniors Katherine Grable, Shelby Salmon, Scarlett Williams and Bailee Zumwalde, sophomore Stephani Canizaro, and freshmen Sydnie Dillard, Heather Elswick and Erin Freier.
"The first intrasquad went extremely well," co-head coach Rene Lyst says. "We had certain standards the girls had to achieve to participate on an event. We had great depth on each event, especially for this time of year. We will now be working hard toward the next intrasquad in October."
Grable, Canizaro and Zumwalde are returning All-Americans from 2012 while Borsellino and Lewis earned All-America honors in 2011.
Arkansas earned its ninth consecutive bid to an NCAA Regional last year, advanced to the NCAA Championship for the sixth time in seven years, earned a spot in the Super Six for the second time in four years and finished in the top 10 for the third time in four seasons.
The Razorbacks are planning a second intrasquad later this month.
