FAYETTEVILLE - The University of Arkansas football team practiced on Wednesday on the UA practice fields as it continued preparing for its game on Saturday at Mississippi State.

Defensive coordinator and secondary coach Paul Haynes spoke to the media after practice and discussed this week's workouts.

"The guys are out there working hard," Coach Haynes said. "They are giving a great effort. Good week so far."

Coach Haynes also commented on the young core of linebackers.

"They have grown a lot," Coach Haynes said. "They are going to continue to grow. I enjoy watching them and I enjoy coaching them. They want to learn."

Kickoff for the Mississippi State game is set for 11:21 a.m., and will be televised on the SEC Network.
