Beyond the Box Score: Arkansas 72 - Texas Southern 50

PLAY OF THE GAME: Keira Peak had the hot hand for Arkansas on their road trip, scoring 82 points over four games and being named SEC Player of the Week. In the first half, she showed Texas Southern that she is a force on both ends of the court. With the shot clock winding down, Peak rejected the Tigers last second jumper to force one of Arkansas’ 24 turnovers.

PLAYER OF THE GAME:
This season, senior Kelsey Hatcher has stepped up into a starting role and brought valuable leadership to the Razorback squad. Against the Tigers, Hatcher scored a career high 12 points. After drilling a three late in the first half, she got on the scoreboard early and often in the second half to lead the team to a victory.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME:
It was a slow start for the Razorbacks, who faced a 9-2 deficit four minutes into the game. Coming out of a timeout, Arkansas brought senior Sarah Watkins and freshman Dominique Wilson off the bench. Those two provided an instant spark, as the Razorbacks went on a 21-2 run backed by 7 points by Watkins and 6 points from Wilson to open up a large lead.

STAT OF THE GAME:
Turnovers were a key to the game, as the Razorback pressured the Tigers into 24 turnovers. Arkansas scored 31 points off of those turnovers, while Texas Southern forced just seven turnovers and scored just four points off of those.
