Beyond the Box Score: Arkansas 64 - Pepperdine 39
PLAYER OF THE GAME: Coming off the bench again, senior Sarah Watkins had another strong game for the Razorbacks. While staying out of foul trouble, Watkins posted 18 points and hauled in five rebounds. She got to the free throw line often, a perfect eight for eight at the charity stripe.
PLAY OF THE GAME: Once again, Arkansas used their defensive pressure to create offensive opportunities. Keira Peak forced a steal on the defensive end, and led the fast break herself, finishing strong to extend the Razorback lead.
TURNING POINT OF THE GAME: In the first half, Peak heated up to extend the Arkansas lead. She was fouled on a three point shot, which sent her to the line. Including the next possession, she scored four points from the line, and added a layup for six straight Arkansas points to take a 17-12 lead.
STAT OF THE GAME: Coaching in his sixth season at Arkansas, head coach Tom Collen recorded his 100th Arkansas victory with the win over Pepperdine. Collen, the reigning SEC Coach of the Year, is 100-67 at Arkansas, and has led the team to three postseason appearances.
