Arkansas lost to No. 6/5 Syracuse in its game of the week, 91-82, at Bud Walton Arena ... the Razorbacks welcomed more than 4,000 students to the game and had an estimated attendance of 19,259, its largest home attendance figure since the 2009 season ... sophomore BJ Young scored 25 points in the loss to Syracuse, going 10-of-23 from the floor with five rebounds ... junior Marshawn Powell scored 19 points with seven rebounds and 9-of-10 from the free throw line ... Arkansas forced Syracuse into 19 turnovers which led to 21 Razorback points, the Orange went into the game averaging 13 turnovers per game ... the Razorback loss drops their SEC/Big East Challenge record to 1-2 in three appearances with a victory over Seton Hall and losses to Connecticut and Syracuse ... Young’s 25-point game against the Orange is his third 20-plus point game of the season and ninth of his Razorback career ... Powell recorded his 44th career double-digit scoring effort ... junior Coty Clarke (6.8) and Powell (5.5) have higher rebounding averages than Arkansas’ best rebounder from a year ago ... freshman DeQuavious Wagner played a career high 21 minutes in the Syracuse game and scored a career high six points on a pair of three-point baskets, he also had three assists without a turnover ... for the year, Arkansas has forced 111 turnovers in six games (18.5 per contest) and have a +8.0 turnover margin ... the Razorbacks have turned 111 turnovers into 150 points this year for an average of 25.0 per game ... the Razorbacks are averaging 9.5 steals per game, the most by an Arkansas team since the 2001-02 season ... Arkansas returns to the court on Tuesday, Dec. 4, when it hosts Oklahoma at Bud Walton Arena before traveling to Ann Arbor, Mich., to take on No. 3 Michigan on Saturday, Dec. 8.
