Williams earns weekly honor

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas forward Quistelle Williams was named CollegeSportsMadness.com’s Southeastern Conference Player of the Week.

The Grand Rapids, Mich., native led the Razorbacks to a 64-56 win over No. 17 Kansas in the only women’s game last week.  Williams scored 15 points, had nine rebounds, one block and two steals in 28 minutes of play helping the Razorbacks move to 8-1 on the year.

For the season, Williams averages 10.4 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game this year.  She has scored 94 total points and grabbed 59 boards.  Williams is shooting 53 percent from the floor, 33 from beyond the arc and 47 percent from the line this season.

Williams and the Razorbacks are off from competition this week during finals but return to the court Dec. 16 at Furman.
