Beyond the Box Score: Auburn 50 - Arkansas 47

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Senior Quistelle Williams led the Razorbacks in their conference opener, putting in a strong performance in 36 minutes at Auburn Arena. Williams finished with 13 points and 8 rebounds.

PLAY OF THE GAME: With 2:00 left in the first half, a defensive battle had led to the two teams being tied at 17-17. With the shot clock winding down, Williams launched a long three from the top of the arc, and she swished it to help Arkansas take a lead into halftime.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME: Down the stretch Auburn started to pull away from the Razorbacks, extending their largest lead to 43-33 with 8:27 remaining. The Razorbacks came back furiously, ramping up the pressure and cutting the lead to one point with a 14-5 run. Arkansas turned the deficit into a game that they had a chance to tie at the buzzer, taking a tough defeat as Calli Berna's three fell short at the final buzzer.

UNSUNG HERO OF THE GAME: Freshman Melissa Wolff has been a solid player off the bench for the Razorbacks this season. She was a solid contributor for 24 minutes in her first career conference game, and recorded a career high 11 rebounds.

STAT OF THE GAME: Arkansas struggled in the paint against the Tigers, being outscored 36-10. In a game featuring two strong defenses, the Razorbacks tried to overcome that deficit with outside shooting, but their efforts fell just short.
