FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas women’s golf team was well represented in tournament action around the world Tuesday.
Sophomore Hally Leadbetter is competing in her home state of Florida this week as well. Leadbetter is taking part in the SunCoast Ladies Series in Orlando, Fla. She opened with a four-over 77 in the first round and posted a 75 in round two. Leadbetter finished with an 80 for a plus-13 232 and 18th place
Freshmen Gabriela Lopez and Regina Plasencia welcome teammates Emily Tubert, Emma Lavy and Olivia Lavy to their home country for the LXXXVIII Mexican Women's Amateur Championship Jan. 8-11, at the Club de Golf Bellavista in Calocaya, Mexico.
Lopez leads the Razorbacks and is in the clubhouse at the top of the leaderboard with a 145 with rounds of 71-75. Countrywoman Plasencia is close behind with a 149 in second place that includes an opening round 76 and a 73 in today's round. Tubert is next with a 181 shooting 76-75 followed by Emma Lavy with a 159 with rounds of 79-80. Sister Olivia Lavy rounds out the scores with a 160 (79-81).
