Notes:

Arkansas went 1-1 this week with a double-overtime win against Auburn on Wednesday, 88-80 and a tough road loss at Ole Miss, 76-64 ... the Razorback double overtime game with Auburn was the first game played by Arkansas that went past one overtime since Feb. 24, 1987, a 26-year span ... Marshawn Powell posted his second double-double of the season in the Auburn game with a team high 28 points and 11 rebounds, he came back against Ole Miss to score a game high 16 points and block a season high four shots ... the Razorback win against Auburn was its fifth straight against the Tigers matching Arkansas’ longest winning streak against Auburn ... for the week, Powell averaged 22.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while hitting 48.6 percent from the field, 42.9 percent from three and 70 percent from the free throw line, he also contributed two assists, five blocks and three steals ... Powell grabbed his 450th career rebound in the Ole Miss game and is now the 18th person in Arkansas history to have at least 1,000 points and 450 rebounds in a career ... sophomore Hunter Mickelson blocked three shots against Ole Miss to bring his career total to 98, a total that moves him into 11th on Arkansas’ all-time list, passing former Razorback Lee Wilson (97); Mickelson also grabbed eight rebounds against the Rebels for his third game this season where he snagged at least eight rebounds ... sophomore BJ Young has 67 assists this season (4.2 apg) to go along with his team leading 17.2 points per contest, the 4.2 assists per game would be the best by a Razorback since the 2009-10 season if the season were to end ... the Razorbacks continue to lead the SEC in turnover margin and assist-turnover ratio for all games played ... with the Razorbacks’ win against Auburn, Arkansas improved to 27-4 (.871) in Fayetteville with Mike Anderson as head coach, the best percentage by an Arkansas head coach since Eddie Sutton in the early 80s ... for the season Arkansas has forced teams into 299 turnovers (17.6 per game) and turned those into 363 points (21.4 per game) ... Arkansas returns to the court on Wednesday, Jan. 23, when it continues Southeastern Conference play against Mississippi State at Bud Walton Arena before heading on the road to face South Carolina on Saturday, Jan. 26.
