PLAYER OF THE GAME: Jhasmin Bowen has made 16 starts this season, but had been relatively quiet since recording a career high 17 points against Northwestern State on Dec. 21. She broke out in the first half, making her first four shots for eight first half points. Bowen finished the game with a game-high 13 points.

PLAY OF THE GAME: Arkansas struggled from the field down the stretch, and had not hit a field goal in almost six minutes after Bowen hit a jumper to bring the Razorbacks within two at 38-36. With the Razorbacks needing a score, Calli Berna hit a huge three pointer, and gave UA an opportunity to tie in the final seconds.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME: South Carolina took a 36-28 lead into the second media timeout of the final half. The Razorbacks responded with an 8-2 run over the next 5:14 to make it a one possession game at 38-36 with 5:54 remaining. The Razorbacks had an opportunity in the final seconds after Berna's three made it a one possession game. Arkansas had chances on three point attempts by Keira Peak and Quistelle Williams, but they fell just short.

UNSUNG HEROS OF THE GAME: Entering the game as the team leader in assists and steals, Calli Berna usually makes a strong impact at the point guard spot. Against the Gamecocks she crashed the glass as well, recording a career-high 10 rebounds, including grabbing multiple offensive boards for the first time this season.
Quistelle Williams was quiet early, but made a strong impact on the boards. She grabbed 10 rebounds, recording double digit rebounds for the fourth time this season.

STAT OF THE GAME: Jhasmin Bowen had just 14 points through the first six SEC games entering play today. She got hot early and led Arkansas in scoring, finishing the game with 13 points.
