Lexington, Ky. -The No. 47 University of Arkansas men's tennis team dropped its first conference match 5-2 to No. 6 Kentucky on Friday at the Boone Tennis Complex. Arkansas's record moves to 11-4 while Kentucky improves to 13-2.

Arkansas opened the match dropping the doubles point to Kentucky, but the Hogs had a spark from juniors Manfred Jeske and Mike Nott who defeated No. 21 Tom Jomby and Kevin Lai, 8-6 on court one.  This is Jeske and Nott's second top-25 victory. The duo also took down the No. 24 Minnesota doubles pair of Bohin and Fromont.

Jeske and Nott continued strong play in singles. Jeske took No. 18 Tom Jomby to three-sets before falling 6-3, 5-7, 6-2. Nott won his first set over Charles Minc in a tie-break, but dropped the second set. Nott came back and gave Arkansas its first point of the day taking the third set 6-3. Nott's victory improves his 2013 singles record to 8-1.

Victor Hoang collected another strong victory in a three-set match against Juan Pablo Murra. After dropping the first set to Murra, Hoang came back to take the second and win in a third-set tiebreak 10-8.

Junior Hall Fess also had an intense three-set match with Kentucky's Grant Roberts. All three sets went to tiebreaks with Fess taking the second, but falling 10-8 in the third.
