Lewis named to Community Service team

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas senior Kelci Lewis was selected to the SEC Community Service team the league office announced today.

The Collinsville, Okla., native has been active in community events throughout her career as a Razorback. This year, she has participated in a number of events including Book Hogs Read To Win Program (reading to area elementary students in Northwest Arkansas), Sweat Hawgs Program (encouraging young people to get active), SEC Together We CAN (Canned Food Drive), Birthday Party With the Gym Backs, Angel Tree Salvation Army, Shop With SAAC for Christmas, Santa Meet Awards in Barnhill (presenting awards to young gymnasts), Lift Up America, (Feeding The Hunger in Northwest Arkansas), America Heart Walk, and many more.

Lewis has participated in the Razorback Leadership Academy since 2011, a member of SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) since 2012 and she has served as the SAAC Service Learning Chair Person since 2011.

This season, Lewis has been a staple in Arkansas’ vault and floor lineups. . Lewis was recently named the SEC Specialist of the Week for her performance this season against Alabama where she set career highs on both the vault and floor with a pair of 9.925’s.

Lewis and the Razorbacks are set to travel to Los Angeles, Calif., to compete against UCLA on Sunday. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. central in Pauley Pavilion.
