The No. 15 Arkansas baseball team went 3-2 on the week. The Razorbacks swept a midweek series against Alabama A&M and dropped two of three games to Ole Miss in a hard fought series to open Southeastern Conference play. Arkansas is now 14-7 on the season and 1-2 in SEC play. Arkansas hit .299 on the week, while the pitching staff had a team ERA of 2.02. For the season, the Razorbacks are hitting .284 as a team and the pitching staff has a 1.81 team ERA. Joe Serrano
led the Razorbacks at the plate during the week, going 7-for-15 with four RBI and four runs scored. Matt Vinson
hit .389 (7-for-18) with three RBI and a pair of runs, while Jacob Mahan
went 6-for-18 with two RBI and eight runs scored. Brian Anderson
batted .318 with six RBI and six runs scored. Jordan Farris
went 4-for-8 at the plate with two RBI and three runs scored. Jacob Morris
hit .364 with three RBI and seven runs scored. On the mound, Landon Simpson
pitched in a pair of games and tossed eight scoreless innings, striking out nine. Jalen Beeks
pitched in three games and did not allow a run in 4.1 innings of work. Randall Fant
earned his first win of the season in the middle game of the Ole Miss series, throwing six innings and allowing a run on five hits. Thomas Altimont

each had one scoreless outing in relief. Arkansas returns to action next weekend when it resumes SEC play at No. 6 South Carolina.
