Fayetteville, Ark. – University of Arkansas men’s tennis player Hall Fess was named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, announced Tuesday afternoon.
The SEC sponsors Service Community Teams in all 21 sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight athletes from the SEC who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
“Hall is a great young man and really brings so much to our program,” head coach Robert Cox said. “He is the one to organize all of our community service for the team and he genuinely loves helping people. I am very proud to have Hall Fess be a part of this team.”
Fess, a red-shirt junior has been involved with different service projects since he stepped on campus four years ago. This year, while organizing the tennis teams service projects Fess was also involved with many projects including mentoring and tutoring high school kids two hours each week. He was also involved with the Sweat Hawgs Program, Men’s March against Violence, Kid’s Day, Run for Love, reading to elementary children and Rockin with the Razorbacks.
The Little Rock, Ark., native is a double major in Supply Chain Management and International Logistics while also working towards his minor in German.
Fess joins seven other student-athletes from various SEC men’s tennis programs to make up the 2013 Community Service Team.
