There may not be a beach in Fayetteville, but the weather was fittingly-hot, as the University of Arkansas men’s basketball team received its commemorative EA SPORTS Maui Invitational surfboard on Saturday prior to leading 69,801 fans at the @RazorbackFB
home opener in the traditional “Calling of the Hogs” between the first and second quarter.
The entire Razorback roster was on the field for the Hog Call and receive the surfboard to promote their participation in this year’s EA SPORTS Maui Invitational, which begins on Monday, Nov. 23, when Arkansas opens with Pac-12 foe California at 2 p.m. CT on ESPN2.

on the team’s official twitter account @RazorbackMBB. Last week, fans voted on the semifinal matches of the hashtag tournament to decide the Razorbacks’ official hashtag for its trip to the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational.

The Razorbacks are part of a Championship Round of the Maui Invitational that also features Baylor, California, Dayton, Gonzaga, Minnesota, Syracuse and host Chaminade. It will be the program’s third trip to the Maui Invitational where it is 3-3 all-time.
