FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Sophomore Ashleigh Ellenwood was named National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Second Team All-South Region, following a record-setting season with the Razorbacks. Ellenwood’s award marks the first All-South Region honor for the Razorbacks since 2003.

"This is a big honor as voted on by our opponents,” said Head Coach Colby Hale. “This group created so many program firsts and I think this is indicative of the respect that both Ash and this whole group are gaining on the national stage. Ash is a special player and when you get to know her and find out that all she really cares about are the team and winning, it makes you appreciate her on a different level because there is much more to it than just the soccer."

Ellenwood became the first double-digit goal scorer since in a decade with 14 on the season, tying for third all-time. The Michigan City, Ind. native broke the all-time record for game-winning goals with six and moved to third all-time in points with 35 total on the season.

Ellenwood helped the team to a program-best 15-8-1 overall record and its first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the final round of 16.
