FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas’ game against Auburn on Saturday will be featured as part of the American Cancer Society’s 2014 Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers weekend.

Coach Anderson and his staff will join more than 4,000 coaches across the country and patrol the sidelines in their typical game day suits but will be trading in their dress shoes for sneakers to raise awareness of the importance that nutrition and exercise in reducing the risk of cancer.

The Coaches vs. Cancer Suits And Sneakers™ Awareness Weekend (January 24-26, 2014) is a nationwide event that unites coaches across the country to raise awareness about the fight against cancer, and promote the American Cancer Society as a place for help and support.

The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches to raise awareness through personal experiences, community leadership and professional excellence of coaches across the country. Since 1993, coaches and their supporters have raised more than $87 million for the American Cancer Society.

This year, fans can get involved by visiting cancer.org/suitsandsneakers and joining the Final Four Challenge. Between now and the Final Four, coaches and fans are on a mission to raise $400,000 in the fight against cancer.

The Razorbacks will take on Auburn in Bud Walton Arena on Saturday. Tip is slated for 5:04 p.m. on Fox Sports South.
