FAYETTEVILLE – Sophomore Rebekah Porter (The Woodlands, Texas) followed up Saturday's preliminary performances by setting personal-best times in both of her preliminary swims Sunday. Porter has recorded career-best times in all of her prelim events at the Virginia Tech Invite. Senior Molly Milborn (Fishers, Ind.) also broke another career record, and Milborn and sophomore Rachel Kessler (New Rochelle, N.Y.) both posted season-best times.

Milborn led the Razorback contingency in the 100-yard freestyle with a fifth-place finish in 53.26, her best time of the season and a mere 0.07 seconds from her career-best record. Porter followed Milborn, placing eighth with a personal-best time of 53.58. Her time shaved 1.27 seconds off her previous personal-best time recorded earlier this season. Senior Lizzy Whitbeck (Oklahoma City, Okla.) and sophomore Rebekah Harvey (Austin, Texas) also qualified for the 100 freestyle final.

Kessler swam a season-best time of 2:04.47 in the 200 butterfly, leading the Razorbacks by finishing in second place. Milborn placed fourth, finishing with a personal-best time of 2:06.63. Milborn’s previous record was 2:06.74, earned in competition against Vanderbilt in Feb. 2012. Harvey and sophomore Jordan Kimmey (Flower Mound, Texas) also qualified for the final in the 200 butterfly.

Whitbeck earned fifth place with a time of 2:12.35 in the 200 individual medley. She was followed by Porter who swam a career-best 2:14.39 to place seventh. Porter cut 0.62 seconds from her previous record in the event.

Finals will begin at 3 p.m. this afternoon and will mark the last session of competition at the Virginia Tech Invitational. Live stats can be found here
