FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Five of the nation’s top-25 teams gathered at Randal Tyson Track Center Friday as the No. 6 Razorbacks wrapped up day one of the Tyson Invitational. Arkansas is closing in on the final regular-season competition leading up to the Southeastern Conference and NCAA Championships.

Chrishuna Williams earned a fourth-place overall finish in the 400-meter dash with a personal-best time of 52.95, taking down her previous record of 53.52 set at the Arkansas Invitational earlier this season. Diana Harper also set a new PR with 54.09, which beats her previous time of 54.37 set at the Razorback Invitational.

The 60-meter hurdles duo of Alex Gochenour and Leigha Brown did not qualify for the finals, but each set a personal record in Friday’s prelims. Gochenour finished in a personal-best 8.63, with Brown coming in at 8.93.

In the 800-meter championship run Jessica Kamilos took down her personal record of 2:10.33 with a ninth-place finish in 2:09.05. Freshman Victoria Feole finished 12th overall in the 800-meter college run with a personal best time of 2:13.33.

Danielle Nowell just missed the 14-1.25 mark in an attempt to set a new personal record, ending at a second-place 13-5.25 to tie for her second-best mark in her career. Ariel Voskamp recorded an identical mark, finishing fourth, while Megan Zimlich rounded out the Razorback pole vaulters with a mark of 13-1.5.

Tamara Myers rounded out day one competition with a mark of 20-4.25 in the long jump, third best time for the Razorbacks this season.
