FAYETTEVILLE - The University of Arkansas softball team plays its first midweek game of the season Wednesday with a matchup against Northwestern State. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. (CT) at Bogle Park. The Razorbacks are riding a five-game winning streak and carry a 7-3 record through the first 10 games of the season.

Wednesday's game will be the 13th meeting between Arkansas and Northwestern State (4-4) with the series tied at six wins for each team. The Razorbacks have won the last five meetings including a pair of games in 2012 in Fayetteville when the teams last met. The midweek is the first of six games this week for Arkansas who will travel to Ft. Myers, Fla., this weekend for a tournament hosted by Florida Gulf Coast.

In their most recent outing, the Razorbacks capped an undefeated home weekend with a 10-0 win Sunday over UMKC at Bogle Park. Arkansas outscored its opponents by a combined score of 44-2 behind 16 extra-base hits including eight home runs. The team's pitching staff allowed just one earned run-0.24 ERA-and limited opposing hitters to a .152 batting average. The Razorbacks continue to receive votes in this week's release of the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.

Junior Kasey Fagan leads Arkansas with a .423 batting average and 15 RBI. She and freshman Parker Pocklington are tied for the team lead with three home runs and 11 runs scored each. Junior Devon Wallace leads the SEC with 14 walks. In the circle, freshman Grace Moll has a team-high three wins-all during last weekend's Arkansas Invitational-while junior Kimmy Beasley leads the team with 27 strikeouts.

During the season, UA students and fans 17 years and younger get into all Arkansas softball games for free with valid ID. General admission tickets are $4 while tickets for groups of 10 or more are $1 at the ticket window. Season tickets for the 2014 campaign are still available for $45 in addition to opportunity for fans to rent suites at Bogle Park during the year.
