FAYETTEVILLE - The University of Arkansas men's tennis team opens Southeastern Conference play this weekend, hosting No. 14 Vanderbilt on Friday and No. 25 Kentucky on Sunday. The Razorbacks, with a non-conference record of 8-6, will take on a Vanderbilt team with a record of 8-2 and Kentucky that has a record of 7-4.

The Razorbacks are coming into this weekend with two ranked doubles pairs. Seniors Hall Fess and Pete Thomason come in at No. 41 with a 9-3 record and seniors Manfred Jeske and Mike Nott are at the No. 53 position with a 3-1 record.

The SEC again boasts one of the most impressive resumes in the nation, as the conference has six teams that are ranked in the top 25 of the nation. Tennessee is currently the top-ranked team in the conference at No. 11, followed by No. 13 Texas A&M, No. 4 Vanderbilt, No. 16 Mississippi State, No. 22 Florida and No. 25 Kentucky.

Kentucky has posted a strong victory over No. 17 Duke to start the 2014 season.

Vanderbilt claims strong wins over No. 23 Northwestern and No. 25 Memphis in 2014.

The Razorbacks will play Vanderbilt at 2 p.m. Friday and Vanderbilt on Sunday at 1 p.m. There will be a full recap and stats on ArkansasRazorbacks.com following the conclusion of play each day.
