Razorbacks Open Competition With One-Meter Diving

FAYETTEVILLE – Three Arkansas divers competed on the one-meter springboards Monday during the first day of competition at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships held in Minneapolis, Minn. 

Sophomore Shelby Bartlett (Noblesville, Ind.) led the Arkansas squad scoring a 258.80 and placing 20th in the prelim one-meter diving event. Sophomore Hannah Bortnick (Mission Hills, Kan.) placed 24th overall with a score of 251.45. Junior Meghan Clark rounded out Arkansas’ showing in 36th place with a total score of 230.00. 

Bartlett, Bortnick, Clark and senior Kesha Naylor (Saskatchewan, Canada) are each scheduled to participate in the three-meter diving event Tuesday afternoon beginning at 1:54 p.m. 

Live stats will be available at ArkansasRazorbacks.com during competition. 

The NCAA Zone Diving Championship meets serve to qualify divers for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Arkansas is competing in Zone D. Zone D has an allocation of nine divers to send to the NCAA Championships based on their performances at zones.
