@RazorbackBSB Returns Home For Mid-Week Series

FAYETTEVILLE - The Arkansas baseball team returns to Baum Stadium for its first mid-week series of the season this week. After traveling more than 6,000 miles over the last two weekends, the Razorbacks host Grambling State for a two-game series Tuesday at 5:05 p.m. and Wednesday at 3:05 p.m.

Both games can be seen by RazorVision subscribers here. Tickets can be purchased here or by calling the Razorback Ticket Center at 800-982-HOGS (4647). The Ticket Center, located down the left field line at the corner of Razorback Road, will also be open prior to each game for ticket purchases.

Sophomore LHP Colin Poché (0-0, 1.17) is slated to make his second start of the season Tuesday, and freshman RHP Alex Phillips (0-0, 3.60) is scheduled to start for the third time this year Wednesday. Grambling State's starting pitchers are TBA.

  • The Razorbacks return home to Baum Stadium after traveling more than 6,000 miles over the last two weekends. Arkansas is playing its first two mid-week games of the season after five weekend series.
  • Arkansas is 7-2 and is averaging 7.2 runs per game at Baum Stadium this season.
  • The Razorbacks' relief pitchers had a streak of 35.0 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run snapped Sunday. The streak, which ended with 0 outs in the fourth inning, stretched back to the eighth inning of the Feb. 22 game vs. Eastern Illinois.
  • The Razorbacks have scored first in all nine of their wins. UA is 9-0 when holding a lead after the seventh inning and 8-0 when leading after six.
  • Arkansas ranks third in the SEC with its team earned-run average of 1.86 and opponent batting average of .201. The Razorbacks also lead the SEC with six pickoffs and are tied for the second-fewest home runs allowed with three.
  • The Razorbacks have outscored their opponents 84-41 this season. The 41 runs allowed are the second-lowest total through 16 games under Coach Van Horn. Arkansas has scored at least 80 runs in the first 16 games every season under Coach Van Horn.
  • Arkansas is averaging 7,504 fans per game this season, which ranks 2nd in the NCAA. Arkansas has ranked in the top five nationally in average attendance each of the last nine years.
  • Arkansas won its 400th game in Baum Stadium in the season opener vs. Appalachian State. Since the stadium opened during the 1996 season, the Razorbacks are 406-160 (.717). The Razorbacks are scheduled to play 35 games in Baum Stadium this season.
