FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas softball team begins a week-long road trip in Sherwood, Ark., with a Wednesday matchup against Memphis. The midweek game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. (CT) start at the Sherwood Sports Complex (611 Bear Paw Road). Through the first six weeks of the season, the Razorbacks are 20-8 overall while Memphis enters the week with a 13-12 record.

General admission tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students with free admission for students with a non-perishable food item.

The previous two meetings between Arkansas and Memphis have both been played on the neutral field in Sherwood with both teams winning once. The Razorbacks won the first-ever meeting with a 6-1 triumph during the 2010 season while the Tigers won the most recent matchup in 2011. Arkansas is 8-1 in games played in Sherwood, a recent addition to the schedule that began during the 2006 season.

In its last outing, Arkansas won one of three against No. 2/4 Tennessee at Bogle Park. The Razorbacks rallied for four runs in the seventh inning of its victory Saturday in game one of a doubleheader against the Lady Volunteers. For a second-consecutive week, Arkansas is receiving votes in the most recent release of the USA Today/NFCA national poll.

Clarisa Navarro continues to lead the team with her .405 batting average and is tied for the team lead with Kasey Fagan at 27 RBI. Fagan also leads the team with 31 runs scored. Devon Wallace has a team-high six home runs and continues to lead the Southeastern Conference with 31 walks. In the circle, Grace Moll has a team-high eight wins and 50 strikeouts. Fagan has made six starts in the circle and carries a 3-1 record.

The Razorbacks continue their road trip with an SEC weekend series against Ole Miss in Oxford. The three-game series runs Friday through Sunday with the weekend finale scheduled for a television broadcast at 3 p.m. on FSN. The streak of road games concludes Tuesday, March 25, with a doubleheader against Jackson State. The Razorbacks defeated JSU earlier this season by a score of 8-0 in Fayetteville during the Arkansas Invitational.
